CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Announces New Agriculture Supervisor Headquarters and Post in Khari Ka Lamba Gram Panchayat

Jaipur, June 2026: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the double-engine government is fully committed to realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Developed India and Developed Rajasthan. He stated that the state government has prepared a comprehensive development roadmap focused on the needs of farmers, livestock rearers, and youth, with water and electricity availability receiving top priority.

Addressing the Gram Vikas Chaupal programme at Khari Ka Lamba Gram Panchayat in Bhilwara district on Friday, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of a new Agriculture Supervisor Headquarters and the creation of a new Agriculture Supervisor post in the gram panchayat. He also assured students that Science, Biology, and Agricultural Science streams would be introduced in the local Government Senior Secondary School.

Focus on Water and Energy Security

Sharma said the government has developed a long-term strategy to improve water availability in Rajasthan and has begun implementing projects that had remained stalled for decades. These include the Ramjal Setu Link Project, the Yamuna Water Agreement, strengthening of the Indira Gandhi Canal Project (IGNP) and Gang Canal, along with accelerated work on the Mahi, Devas, Som-Kamla-Amba, and Brahmani River projects.

He added that the government has also taken significant steps to make Rajasthan self-reliant in the energy sector. Increased power generation over the last two and a half years has transformed the state into a power supplier. The government aims to provide daytime electricity to farmers across Rajasthan by 2027, and this facility is already available in 26 districts.

Boosting Farmers’ Income

The Chief Minister noted that while the Prime Minister provides ₹6,000 annually under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the state government contributes an additional ₹3,000 as financial assistance to farmers.

He encouraged farmers to adopt modern and organic farming techniques to increase productivity and income. Establishing processing units based on local agricultural produce would not only strengthen farmers economically but also generate employment opportunities in rural areas.

Support for Livestock Rearers

Sharma highlighted the government’s efforts to strengthen the dairy and cooperative sectors. The capacity of milk processing units and the number of milk collection centers are being expanded continuously.

He said livestock owners are receiving a subsidy of ₹5 per litre of milk and have benefited from the Gopal Credit Card Scheme, which provides financial support. The government has also launched Mobile Veterinary Units to ensure timely treatment for animals.

Employment and Youth Empowerment

The Chief Minister said that the government has issued appointment letters for 1.25 lakh jobs over the past two and a half years. Recruitment is underway for 1.35 lakh posts, while a recruitment calendar covering another 1.25 lakh vacancies has already been released.

He emphasized that the government has taken strict action against examination paper leaks and has ensured transparent recruitment processes.

To create private-sector employment opportunities, the government organized the Rising Rajasthan Summit, where investment agreements worth ₹35 lakh crore were signed. Of these, projects worth ₹9 lakh crore have already begun implementation. A dedicated youth policy has also been introduced, along with loan facilities to support self-employment.

Farmers Share Success Stories

Several farmers shared their experiences with government schemes during the interaction.

Farmer Harphool said that benefits from the Polyhouse, Solar, and Sprinkler Irrigation schemes had made modern farming easier and improved his income through cucumber cultivation.

Purushottam reported earning ₹30–35 lakh annually through amla and lemon orchards and is planning to establish an amla processing unit.
