Jaipur, June 2026: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma took a morning walk in Khari Ka Lamba village of Bhilwara district on Saturday after spending the night in the village. During the visit, he interacted with elderly residents, particularly 107-year-old Kumkum Devi and 102-year-old Omkar Teli, inquiring about their health, daily routines, and life experiences. Touched by the Chief Minister’s warmth and personal interaction, the elderly villagers blessed him by placing their hands on his head.

During the morning tour, the Chief Minister visited households across the village and enquired about the well-being of residents. He also interacted affectionately with children and distributed chocolates among them. Sharma offered prayers at the village’s Raghunath Temple and Hanuman Temple.

At Phoolsagar Lake, where local youth were practicing yoga, the Chief Minister joined them for a yoga session, promoting the message of healthy living and encouraging young people to adopt a fitness-oriented lifestyle. He also directed officials to undertake beautification of the lake through community participation and voluntary labour. On the occasion, he planted a Sheesham tree, conveying a strong message on environmental conservation and sustainable development.

Later, the Chief Minister held an informal discussion with villagers over tea, listening to their concerns and discussing the development needs of the village in detail. Responding positively to local demands, he announced the upgradation of the village Sub-Health Centre into a Primary Health Centre and the development of a sports ground to promote healthcare and sports facilities in the area.

Notably, the announcements made by the Chief Minister during the Gram Vikas Chaupal held in the village on Friday night saw immediate implementation. By Saturday morning, official orders had been issued for the establishment of a new Agriculture Supervisor Headquarters, creation of a new Agriculture Supervisor post, and the introduction of additional Science (Biology) and Agricultural Science streams at the Government Senior Secondary School.

Villagers expressed happiness and gratitude over the swift implementation of the announcements. They remarked that it was the first time a Chief Minister had stayed overnight in their village, personally listened to their problems, and initiated immediate action toward resolving them.

Residents widely appreciated the Chief Minister’s direct engagement with the public and his sensitive approach to governance. They said his visit had strengthened their confidence in the administration and demonstrated the government’s commitment to grassroots development.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa, MLAs Jabbar Singh Sankhla and Lala Ram Bairwa, other public representatives, and a large number of villagers were present during the morning interaction and public outreach programme.
