Bhopal, June 2026 : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has extended his congratulations and best wishes to the athletes of Madhya Pradesh for their overall championship-winning performance in the 36th National Junior and Sub-Junior Canoe Sprint Championship held in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the sons and daughters of Madhya Pradesh have achieved a historic feat by winning the championship title in all four categories of the competition.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the State Government is continuously working to develop world-class sports infrastructure and nurture the talent of young athletes. As a result, players from Madhya Pradesh are consistently delivering outstanding performances in national and international competitions. The exceptional achievement of the junior and sub-junior athletes has made the people of the State proud. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all the talented athletes, along with the Madhya Pradesh Water Sports Academy, deserve congratulations for establishing the State as a leading force in water sports at the national level.

The Athletes of the Water Sports Academy, operated under the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh, delivered a historic performance at the 36th National Junior and Sub-Junior Canoe Sprint Championship held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, from June 12 to 14, 2026, securing the Overall Championship title for Madhya Pradesh.
The athletes won a total of 39 medals, including 25 gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze medals, reaffirming the State’s dominance in the championship and scripting a new chapter in its sporting achievements.
