Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Hoists National Flag at Secretariat, Reaffirms Commitment to Employee Welfare

Jaipur, January 2026 :On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma hoisted the national flag at the state secretariat and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by offering flowers at his statue. Addressing the gathering organized by the Rajasthan Secretariat Employees Association, he emphasized that the state government is fully committed to employee welfare, and it is the responsibility of government personnel to ensure that public welfare schemes reach the citizens.

The Chief Minister highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both the central and state governments are taking significant steps for the upliftment and empowerment of the poor, farmers, women, and youth. So far, over 1 lakh government appointments have been made, with 1.54 lakh recruitments ongoing, and the calendar for another 1 lakh recruitments for the year has already been released. He expressed confidence that the government will achieve the target of 4 lakh government recruitments in 5 years.

Shri Sharma also stressed the government’s focus on skill development, entrepreneurship, and youth employment, citing initiatives such as the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme, which provides interest-free loans to young people aged 18–45 to encourage entrepreneurship. Over 3.37 lakh youth have received skill training, nearly 2 lakh have completed internships, and 658 i-Startup Launchpad Nests have been established, supporting 658 startups with ₹22.5 crore.

Regarding employee welfare, the Chief Minister noted that vacant posts in the Secretariat are being filled, with 557 candidates recently joining as Clerks Grade II, and recruitment processes underway for other posts. Compassionate appointments have also been facilitated for the dependents of deceased employees, extending application timelines from 90 to 180 days.

To improve employee efficiency and resolve cadre-related issues, committees will be formed under the Chief Secretary and the Secretary (Personnel) to recommend measures and address discrepancies.

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas added that under the Chief Minister’s guidance, 7.5 lakh employees have received training through initiatives like Rajkaj and i-GOT Karmayogi, and e-office analytics ensures files are processed within 5–6 hours on average. Promotions, salary increments, and other employee-friendly decisions are being implemented systematically to enhance efficiency and public service.

The event also featured cultural performances by folk artists, and exemplary employees were honored. Senior officials, employee union representatives, and Secretariat staff attended the ceremony.
