Nari Chaupal Emerges as a Strong Platform for Women Empowerment in Chaksu
Jaipur, January 2026: Under the Saksham Jaipur Abhiyan, the Nari Chaupal programme is playing a vital role in translating women empowerment into action across Jaipur district. In line with the vision of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma and under the directions of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, these programmes are being organised at the sub-division level under the Beti Bachao–Beti Padhao scheme.
On Wednesday, a large-scale Nari Chaupal was organised in Chaksu subdivision, witnessing participation from thousands of women and girls. The overwhelming turnout reflected women’s growing role in dialogue, decision-making and leadership.
Deputy Director of the Women Empowerment Department, Dr. Rajesh Dogiwal, informed that the programme featured Marwari folk songs, folk dances, street plays and self-defence demonstrations. Performances such as “Hum Honge Kamyab” and “Mera Kaam—Mera Samman” conveyed strong messages of self-reliance and dignity of labour. Women achievers from various fields shared their experiences, inspiring participants to move forward with confidence.
Held in the presence of Chaksu Sub-Divisional Officer Ms. Nidhi Meena, the event highlighted women’s confidence, skills and leadership abilities. Officials from departments including Women and Child Development, Health, Education, Police, Social Justice and Empowerment interacted directly with women, providing information on health, education, safety, nutrition, self-employment and government schemes. On-the-spot assistance counters also offered guidance and support.
During the programme, women and girls signed in support of the Saksham Jaipur Abhiyan and took a pledge under Beti Bachao–Beti Padhao. Winners of various competitions were honoured by IAS officer and Nodal Officer Mr. Mrinal Kumar.
Dr. Dogiwal stated that the objective of Nari Chaupal is to make women aware, empowered and self-reliant. He added that women’s issues and suggestions are being seriously considered through these platforms, enabling positive changes in policy and implementation. As per the District Collector’s directions, Nari Chaupal programmes will be organised in a phased manner across all subdivisions of Jaipur district, emerging as a powerful initiative for confidence-building, guidance and encouragement for women.
