Dairy-Animal Husbandry to Raise Farmers’ Income in Krishak Kalyan Varsh: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Madhya Pradesh Government is firmly committed to the welfare of all sections of society. A historic budget of over ₹4.38 lakh crore has been presented in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. In the Farmer Welfare Year, more than ₹1 lakh crore has been earmarked for farmer-friendly schemes. He said that this allocation is a clear testament to the government’s firm and sustained commitment to farmers’ welfare. He added that with a focus on the welfare of the poor, youth, farmers, and women, the state is steadily progressing on the path of development.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has long been a leader in agricultural production. To enhance farmers’ income, the State Government has resolved to promote animal husbandry and increase milk production. Under the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana, a target has been set to raise the state’s milk production growth from 9 per cent to 20 per cent. He addressed a grand Kisan Sammelan organised in the village Kulaith, the sacred land of Lord Jagannath, in Gwalior district, on the occasion of ‘Krishak kalyan Varsh’. The Chief Minister inaugurated and performed the Bhoomi Poojan for 41 development projects worth over ₹87.21 crore. He also announced several major development initiatives for the Kulaith and visited an exhibition showcasing advanced agricultural technologies for farmers.

Government to Bear Registration Cost of Farmers’ Leasehold Land

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that the State Government will fully cover the registration expenses of farmers’ leasehold land, with sufficient budgetary provisions already earmarked to ensure its implementation. This will enable farmers to avail themselves of various bank-linked schemes. He said the government is taking every possible step to improve farmers’ lives. Solar pumps are being distributed to enable farmers to become self-reliant in power generation. The Ken-Betwa Link Project in Bundelkhand will also benefit farmers in the Chambal region by improving irrigation facilities and boosting crop production.

Free Milk for School Kids to Promote Nutrition

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the government will provide free milk to children from Classes 1 to 8 to ensure proper nutrition. This scheme has been proposed in the current year’s budget. Additionally, more than ₹23,000 crore has been allocated in the budget for Ladli Behna beneficiaries.

Enjoyed Kanhaiya Folks Songs and Felicitated Artists with Petal Shower

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that remembering Lord Krishna helps overcome many of life’s challenges and emphasised that one should always remain dedicated to social welfare. He enjoyed traditional ‘Kanhaiya’ folk songs presented by local rural artists and felicitated them with a shower of flower petals. He announced a reward of ₹5,000 each for all 18 participating folk teams.

Encouragement to Bullock Cart Race Participants

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also witnessed a traditional bullock cart race organized by local farmers near the conference venue. He announced an incentive of ₹5,000 each for all 28 participating bullock carts, along with prizes of ₹21,000 and ₹11,000 for the first and second positions, respectively.

Grand Welcome during Roadshow

During a roadshow in Kulaithe, Gwalior, as Chief Minister Dr. Yadav proceeded from the helipad on a ceremonial chariot, large crowds gathered on both sides of the road and welcomed him warmly with flower showers.  The Chief Minister reciprocated the warm welcome by greeting the assembled public.

Major Development Gifts Announcements for Kulaith

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced several development projects for the region at the grand ‘Kisan Sammelan’ in Kulaith. These include the construction of a one-kilometre road up to Dande Wale Baba Temple and installation of a transformer, construction of a community hall for devotees visiting the Lord Jagannath Temple, development of a playground for youth and establishment of an industry in the Kulaithe region. He also announced that Banjaras Ka Pura in Gram Panchayats Susera, Brahmpura, Saipura, and Sojana would be declared as residential areas. The Chief Minister assured that efforts would be made to restart the Maheshwara stone quarry in the region.

CM Dr. Yadav Always Brings Development to Gwalior: MP Shri Kushwah

Member of Parliament Shri Bharat Singh Kushwah stated that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has consistently spearheaded major development initiatives for the Gwalior region. He noted that development works worth over ₹87 crore were inaugurated and that nearly ₹4 lakh crore has been earmarked for development in the state budget. He added that approximately ₹500 crore has been allocated for the construction of bridges, culverts, and roads in the Gwalior parliamentary constituency and expressed gratitude on behalf of the people.

Distribution of Benefits and Exhibition Visit

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav symbolically distributed benefits under various farmer-friendly and other government schemes from the main stage. He also visited 16 stalls at the agricultural exhibition set up at the venue and reviewed schemes, innovations and technical information presented by various departments and institutions. The Department of Horticulture and Food Processing showcased its schemes along with live demonstrations of floriculture and drip sprinkler systems.

Priyanka Singh Ghuraiya, Sant Shri Rajeshwaran and Fisheries Welfare Board Chairman Shri Sitaram Manjhi, Lokmata Ahilyabai Board Chairman Shri Rajendra Singh Pal, Shri Ashish Agrawal, Shri Prem Singh Rajput, former Seed Corporation Chairman Shri Mahendra Singh Yadav, Shri Shivraj Singh Yadav, Shri Devendra Pratap Singh Tomar and other public representatives.
