Maharashtra Showcases Advanced Governance through ‘Maharashtra Pavilion’ at India AI Summit 2026

New Delhi, Feb 2026 : At the India AI Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam, Maharashtra has drawn national and international attention through its flagship “AI in Action” pavilion. By demonstrating the effective use of artificial intelligence in real-world governance rather than limiting it to conceptual discussions, the state has presented a compelling model of goal-oriented and outcome-driven administration.

Under the guidance of Information Technology Secretary Virendra Singh, MahaIT Managing Director Sanjay Katkar, and Bhagwan Patil, Maharashtra’s participation at the summit and its AI-led governance initiatives have received widespread appreciation from startups, technology companies, and policymakers alike. The state has reinforced the vision of Digital India by proving that artificial intelligence is not merely an idea, but a practical tool being actively deployed to improve governance and public service delivery.

The Maharashtra Pavilion features key AI projects across sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, cyber security, and industry. These include AI-based platforms that provide farmers with weather forecasts, market prices, and crop advisory services; single-window investment facilitation systems that simplify business processes through AI chatbots; and advanced AI tools supporting crime investigation, cyber security, and forensic analysis.

In the healthcare domain, AI-powered solutions assisting doctors with medical protocols and clinical references were also showcased. Additionally, initiatives aimed at expanding the adoption of AI across various government departments highlight Maharashtra’s commitment to embedding technology into everyday administration.

Through these diverse and impactful initiatives, Maharashtra has positioned itself as a frontrunner in the adoption of artificial intelligence for governance, setting an example for other states and reinforcing India’s growing stature in the global AI ecosystem.
