Enthusiastic Response to Digital Chariot in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar under ‘Our Constitution – Our Pride’ Initiative

Mumbai, Feb 2026: This year marks the completion of 75 years since the Constitution of India came into force after Independence. To commemorate this historic milestone, the State Government’s Department of Cultural Affairs is implementing a special public awareness campaign titled ‘Our Constitution – Our Pride’ as part of the ‘Constitution Amrit Mahotsav’. As part of this initiative, a Constitution Public Awareness Digital Chariot was recently inaugurated in Mumbai by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

As a key component of the campaign, the Constitution awareness digital chariot is touring various government offices, schools, colleges, and public places across the city of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The initiative has witnessed a large turnout of school and college students, while citizens from all walks of life have also responded enthusiastically to the chariot.

Conceived under the vision of Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar, the digital chariot presents comprehensive information through impactful audio-visual media on the making of the Indian Constitution, the role of the Constituent Assembly, and the Fundamental Rights and Duties granted to citizens. The chariot effectively explains key constitutional provisions, including the Right to Equality, Right to Freedom, Right against Exploitation, Right to Freedom of Religion, Cultural and Educational Rights, and the Right to Constitutional Remedies.

Through this public outreach initiative, citizens are being guided on the importance of democratic values, the social significance of the Constitution, and the responsibilities of citizens in a democracy. The presentations aim to deepen understanding of constitutional principles and inspire respect for the rule of law.

The initiative is fostering a growing sense of pride in the Constitution among citizens. Notably, it is strengthening awareness among students and the younger generation about constitutional values, civic duties, and democratic ideals, reinforcing respect for the Constitution and encouraging responsible citizenship across society.
