Numerous Activities for Farmers at State-Level Agricultural Festival, Including Exhibitions, Seminars, and Direct Sales
Mumbai : Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde announced that the fourth installment of the Namo Kisan Mahasanman Yojana, benefiting approximately one crore farmers, will be distributed during the Agricultural Festival at Parli on Wednesday by the Chief Minister, Union Agriculture Minister, and other dignitaries.
In conjunction with this program, a new portal for distributing the recently announced soybean-cotton subsidy will also be launched.
The state-level agricultural festival, a five-day event, is scheduled to take place from August 21 to 25 at Parli Vaidyanath in Beed district. Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde informed that the festival’s grand inauguration will be held today at 1 PM, featuring a ceremony with distinguished guests.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, along with other ministers, MPs, and state and district representatives, will attend the inauguration ceremony in Parli Vaidyanath.
The festival will be inaugurated in the grand hall of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee grounds, which has been named after Pandit Anna Munde. Before the ceremony, a grand rally will take place from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, where dignitaries will pay homage to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The agricultural festival will feature a wide range of activities, including a grand agricultural exhibition, livestock exhibition, grain festival, seminars, demonstrations of modern tools, wild vegetable festival, and honoring successful farmers by showcasing their success stories. Additionally, products from women self-help groups will be available for direct purchase, along with drone spraying demonstrations and various other activities aimed at guiding farmers.
Farmers will also experience organic and natural farming exhibits, vegetable festivals, and demonstrations of new agricultural research from universities. The event will include numerous waterproof pavilions, a large assembly hall, seating for discussion sessions, and hundreds of waterproof stalls for vendors. Additionally, vehicle parking and food arrangements have been meticulously planned.
Farmers from across the state, along with agriculture enthusiasts, are expected to participate in this event. The entire city of Parli Vaidyanath has been prepared to welcome these guests.
Minister Munde emphasized that this state-level agricultural festival, being held for the first time in Beed district, will provide farmers with valuable guidance on government schemes and serve as a unique celebration for the farming community. He urged farmers from all over the state to participate in large numbers.
