Government Developing Sports Infrastructure in Mission Mode: CM Vishnu Deo Sai Grand Conclusion of the 14th All India Police Archery Championship

Raipur, February 2026: The 14th All India Police Archery Championship 2025–26, organised by the Chhattisgarh Police, concluded in a grand ceremony today in Durg with Vishnu Deo Sai as the chief guest. Welcoming players, coaches, and officials from various states and central armed police forces, the Chief Minister praised their impressive performances.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai said that police personnel not only shoulder the responsibility of maintaining law and order but also excel in sports, reflecting their discipline and dedication. He noted that archery has long been a distinctive identity of Chhattisgarh’s tribal regions and said the state government is developing sports infrastructure in a mission mode. An Archery Academy is being established in Jashpur, while national-level sports facilities are being developed in Nava Raipur.

The Chief Minister said sports foster discipline, good health, and self-confidence, while also opening new career avenues for youth. To encourage athletes, the state government is offering attractive incentives to Olympic medal winners. He appealed to young people to actively participate in sports and urged parents to support their children’s sporting aspirations.

Speaking at the event, School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav highlighted Chhattisgarh’s rich tribal traditions and its deep-rooted heritage of archery.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister honoured six teams—Central Industrial Security Force, Rajasthan, Central Reserve Police Force, Uttar Pradesh, Border Security Force, and Indo-Tibetan Border Police—by presenting shields for their outstanding performances, and formally declared the championship closed.

Among those present were Domanlal Korsewada, Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, along with other public representatives and senior police officials.
