UAE Declares Red Alert After Iranian Strikes, Places Defence Forces on High Readiness
Abu Dhabi, Feb 2026 : The UAE Defence Ministry on Friday issued a red alert across the country following Iranian air strikes, stating that the attacks were countered swiftly and “with high efficiency,” with no damage reported so far.
In an official statement, the ministry said the United Arab Emirates has placed its armed forces on high alert and ordered full operational readiness to respond to any further hostile actions. The move comes amid sharply escalating regional tensions.
According to the ministry, debris from intercepted missiles fell in scattered locations across Abu Dhabi, including Saadiyat Island, Khalifa City, Bani Yas, Mohammed bin Zayed City, and Al Falah. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported in any of the affected areas.
Strongly condemning the strikes, the Defence Ministry described them as a “flagrant violation” of the nation’s sovereignty and a blatant breach of international law. It reaffirmed that the UAE reserves the full right to take all necessary defensive measures to protect its territory, citizens, and residents.
“The safety and security of citizens, residents, and visitors remain the highest priority,” the statement said, adding that all relevant agencies are closely monitoring the situation and remain prepared to counter any emerging threats.
Officials also appealed to the public to rely exclusively on official sources for updates and urged people to avoid spreading rumours or unverified information, warning that misinformation could further inflame tensions.
The alert follows a fresh surge in instability across the region, linked to the rapidly evolving conflict involving Israel, Iran, and the United States. UAE authorities reiterated that the security situation within the country remains under control and that defence systems continue to operate at the highest level of readiness to ensure public safety.
