Israeli Defence Forces Have Confirmed The Elimination Of Iran’s Internal Security And Basij Forces In Ilam Province.

Ilam, Iran; March 2026: Since the start of Operation ‘Roaring Lion’, the Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF Intelligence, has been systematically targeting the Iranian regime’s systems and capabilities. Over the past week, the IDF has deepened the damage to infrastructure belonging to the Internal Security and Basij forces across Iran, which constitute part of the regime’s armed forces.

One of the central provinces in which the majority of regime infrastructure was degraded is the Ilam Province, where the forces have carried out many terror attacks and brutally repressed internal protests during demonstrations that took place across Iran in the December–January period.

The IDF can now reveal that most of the key assets of the regime’s Internal Security Forces and Basij units in the province were dismantled, including:

• The main headquarters of the regime’s Internal Security Forces;
• The headquarters of the regime’s central intelligence body – the Ministry of Intelligence;
• A command centre of the IRGC responsible for the battalions that suppress protests;
• A headquarters of the special force’s unit within the Internal Security Forces;
• Several Basij unit headquarters and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps infrastructure used to reinforce the regime’s control and governance in the province.

The damage to the regime’s repression and control mechanisms in Ilam Province is one example of many. These armed forces form part of the Iranian regime’s security apparatus and have for years been responsible for executing terror activities. At the same time, these forces lead the regime’s primary repression efforts against internal protests, particularly in recent periods, using severe violence, mass arrests, and force against civilian demonstrators.

The completed strikes are part of the ongoing phase of further degrading the core operational structures of the Iranian terror regime and degrading its capabilities.

Meanwhile, today (11th March) morning, the IDF completed an additional wave of strikes in Dahieh, Beirut, targeting Hezbollah terrorist command centers and facilities where the Hezbollah terrorist organisation stored weapons. Additionally, the IDF struck yesterday (Tuesday) a Hezbollah terrorist organization command center in the area of Tyre in Lebanon. Prior to the strikes, measures were taken to mitigate the risk of harm to civilians, including advance warnings, the use of precision munitions, and aerial surveillance.

The IDF is operating with determination against the Hezbollah terrorist organisation as a result of the terrorist organisation’s decision to deliberately attack Israel on behalf of the Iranian regime, and will not tolerate any harm to the residents of the State of Israel.

The Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, held a situational assessment today (Wednesday) with additional commanders following recent developments in Operation “Roaring Lion”.

The Chief of the General Staff instructed to reinforce the Northern Command sector and to transition the Golani Brigade to operations from the Southern Command to Operations in the Northern Command sector. Subsequently, and in accordance with the situational assessment, a decision will be made regarding additional reinforcements.
