Daughters are Revered from Birth throughout Life in Madhya Pradesh: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that daughters are revered from birth throughout their lives in Madhya Pradesh. Women have always been worthy of reverence. We even regard our nation as a mother and worship it by proclaiming Bharat Mata ki Jai. He said that the state government is fully committed to the holistic development of daughters and women. Government schemes stand firmly with women at every step of their lives, like a trusted companion. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a Women’s Empowerment Conference-cum-Foundation Laying Ceremony in Hatta of Damoh district on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Ladli Lakshmi Yojana has led to a significant improvement in the gender ratio. It has also brought a positive change in society’s attitude towards daughters. He said that the progress and blessings of the
Ladli Behna sisters are bringing prosperity to the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed the ‘Bhoomi-Poojan’ for 13 development works worth more than ₹405.58 crore in Damoh district with a single click. These include the upgradation and widening of the 73 km Hatta–Gaisabad–Simaria Road (SH-55) into a two-lane road at a cost of about ₹232 crore, construction of the Madiyado–Bardha Kishangarh Road costing ₹74.44 crore and construction of the Madiyado–Rajpura Road costing ₹48.89 crore.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state is undertaking remarkable work by following the core principle of ‘Virasat se Vikas’. Last year, the State Cabinet held a meeting at Khajuraho, a global tourist destination in the Bundelkhand region, and approved development works worth more than ₹27,500 crore. He added that vaccination against cervical cancer has recently been launched. Appealing to all mothers and sisters, he urged them to ensure that their daughters above 14 years receive the vaccine and to encourage others to do the same. He said the vaccine is completely safe and will protect the future of his daughters throughout their lives. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also presented certificates on stage to eight girls from Hatta who received the HPV vaccine. The Chief Minister also distributed benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
Hatta to be renamed Shivkashi
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the residents, announced that Hatta will be renamed Shivkashi. He said that Hatta is the city of Shri Shri 1008 Devshri Gaurishankar, and therefore it will now be known as Shivkashi. The Chief Minister also announced several development initiatives for the area. A new ITI building will be constructed in Hatta. A modern Municipal Council building and a grand Geeta Bhavan will also be built. He said that the scope of work in agriculture and animal husbandry is vast; therefore, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Animal Husbandry subjects will now be introduced in the Hatta College.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also announced the widening of the Vinati–Madiyado–Chouraiya Road and the construction of an indoor auditorium at the Government PM Shri Maharani Laxmibai School in Hatta. A new college will be opened in Patera, and new Higher Secondary School buildings will be constructed in Madiyado and Deori Fatehpur. Similarly, road widening and beautification work will be undertaken from Taradehi Tiraha to Chourai in Tendu Kheda Nagar Parishad, along with the construction of a CC road in Ward No. 3. The road from Gehra to Choupra–Simri will also be widened. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that industrial activities will be expanded in Damoh district.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Ken–Betwa River Linking Project will provide irrigation water to every field in Bundelkhand. Crops will flourish in the fields, and people will no longer need to migrate from Hatta in search of employment. He said the irrigated area in the state has now reached 55 lakh hectares, with 10 lakh hectares added in the last two years alone.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, referring to women’s welfare schemes, said that the government’s goal is to make women self-reliant and empowered. No effort will be spared to ensure the self-reliance of daughters and women. The prosperity of the state lies in the well-being of women. He said that International Women’s Day was celebrated two days ago and Navratri is approaching, reaffirming the state government’s dedication to women’s welfare. More than 1.25 crore Ladli Behna beneficiaries in the state are being given ₹1,500 per month as a mark of respect. He also stated that women will soon receive 33 per cent reservation in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies, while in urban local bodies in the state, reservation for women is already up to 50 per cent. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also extended birthday greetings and best wishes to Hatta MLA Smt. Umadevi Khatik expressed hope that she will continue to serve the people of Hatta for a long time.
Hatta MLA Smt. Umadevi Khatik said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was visiting the Hatta Assembly constituency for the first time and had brought development gifts worth ₹405 crore. She said that women form the foundation of society’s overall development. Today, women are bringing pride to the nation in education, the armed forces, and every field. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, strong efforts are being made to economically empower mothers and sisters in the state. Every daughter is respected, and efforts are being made to ensure opportunities for women. The foundation laying of several development works for the Damoh district will give new momentum to the region’s development.
