Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Meets Trainee Officers from National Defence College

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met trainee officers from the National Defence College, under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, during a courtesy visit at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s Residence) on Wednesday. Led by Major General Pawanpal Singh of the Ministry of Defence and Shri Kunal Satyarthi, a 16-member training delegation from France, UAE, Bhutan, Nepal and Myanmar (Burma) is on a visit to Madhya Pradesh from March 15 to 20. On Thursday, March 19, the delegation will visit Khari homestay village in Bhopal, as well as Ujjain and Indore.  Over the past three days, the delegation has visited and interacted with Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel and other senior officials, and toured sites such as Bhojpur Temple, Van Vihar, Bhimbetka caves, the National Museum of Mankind, and the Tribal Museum.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, welcoming the delegation to Madhya Pradesh, said that they are visiting one of India’s greenest states, known for its dense forests and status as the “Tiger State.” He remarked that Bhopal is a unique place where wildlife and humans coexist closely. He stated that the Upper Lake in Bhopal was constructed around 1,000 years ago, and the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple dates back several centuries. He added that the state’s forests are rich in wildlife, with over 100 elephants and that wild buffalo brought from Assam will be released into forests in Balaghat district on March 25, further enriching biodiversity.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that more than 250 rivers flow through Madhya Pradesh, ensuring abundant water availability in the state. He stated that this has contributed to one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, below 2 per cent. He also informed that preparations for Simhastha 2028, one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, are underway on a war footing. Arrangements are being made to enable more than 5 crore devotees to take a holy dip in the Shipra River in a single day. He invited the delegation to observe these preparations during their visit to Ujjain.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised the importance of continued interactions between nations, noting that such exchanges promote tourism and cultural understanding. He also took a group photograph with the delegation.

Director of RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management, Bhopal, Shri Mujiburrahman Khan, Training Director Dr. Anupama Rawat and trainee officers were present.
