President consecrated the Shri Ram Yantra at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple
President, Governor, and Chief Minister offered prayers to Ram Lalla and bowed at his feet
Ayodhya/Lucknow, March 2026 : President Droupadi Murmu consecrated the Shri Ram Yantra at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on Thursday, the first day of Chaitra Navratri. On the occasion of the Hindu New Year, she paid her respects by bowing at the feet of Ram Lalla and performing the aarti.
During the visit, Anandiben Patel and Yogi Adityanath also offered prayers to Ram Lalla along with President following proper rituals. President, Governor, and Chief Minister bowed before all the deities in the temple premises. President Droupadi Murmu also toured the temple premises and observed the intricate carvings on its walls.
In the presence of revered saints and amid Vedic chants, Droupadi Murmu formally consecrated the Shri Ram Yantra on the second floor of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada.
The Shri Ram Yantra had been sent to Ayodhya two years ago in a ceremonial procession by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati Maharaj. Based on Vedic mathematics and geometric patterns, the Yantra is believed to be a seat of divine energies and is said to attract positive energy.
A nine-day Vedic ritual had already been underway for the installation of the Shri Ram Yantra, conducted by scholars from South India, Kashi, and Ayodhya. Present at the ceremony were Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maa Amritanandamayi, Treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Govind Dev Giri, Trustee Anil Mishra, and member Gopal Ji, among others.
