India to Tour Ireland for Two-Match T20I Series in June 2026

Mumbai, March 2026 : The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the schedule for India national cricket team’s upcoming two-match T20 International series against Ireland cricket team, set to be played in June 2026. The matches will take place on June 26 and June 28 at Belfast, marking India’s return to the venue after nearly two decades.

The series will be India’s first T20I assignment following their triumph at the T20 World Cup 2026. It also comes immediately after their ODI series against Afghanistan national cricket team, making it a crucial part of a packed international calendar.

India’s schedule in the coming months is tightly structured. After the conclusion of Indian Premier League 2026, the team will host Afghanistan for a one-off Test match, followed by a three-match ODI series, which will conclude on June 20. Soon after, the team will travel to Ireland for the T20I series before heading to England for another white-ball assignment beginning July 1.

In its official statement, the BCCI highlighted that this will be India’s fourth tour of Ireland in recent years, following visits in 2018, 2022, and 2023. However, it will be their first appearance in Belfast since 2007, adding historical significance to the series.

For Ireland, the upcoming home season promises to be one of the busiest and most significant in their cricketing history. The team is scheduled to begin the summer with a landmark Test match against New Zealand national cricket team, followed by the high-profile T20I clashes against India later in June.

The action-packed calendar continues into August, when Afghanistan will tour Ireland for a five-match ODI series. Beyond home fixtures, Ireland is also set for extensive international travel, including a white-ball tour to Nepal under a newly established partnership, as well as a visit to the United Arab Emirates.

Looking ahead, Ireland is expected to undertake a historic multi-format tour of Pakistan in early 2027, marking their first-ever visit to the country.

With an expanded fixture list and increasing international engagements, Ireland’s cricketing programme is entering a phase of rapid growth. Meanwhile, for India, the Ireland series offers an opportunity to maintain momentum after their World Cup success and fine-tune combinations ahead of a demanding international season.

India Tour of Ireland – Schedule:
