Prepare a Roadmap for Reforms and Innovation in the Mining Sector – Chief Secretary
Jaipur, March 2026 : Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, during his visit to Udaipur on Saturday, inspected the headquarters of Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Limited (RSMML) located at Panchwati. On this occasion, Managing Director P. Ramesh, AGM Deepak Mehta, Financial Advisor Bharti Raj, and other officials welcomed the Chief Secretary.
The Chief Secretary reviewed in detail the various activities, administrative reports, and functioning of RSMML. Managing Director P. Ramesh gave a comprehensive presentation on the institution’s history, current operations, production capacity, sales systems, and future plans. Director of the Mines and Geology Department, Mahavir Prasad Meena, also shared details regarding the department’s administrative report.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed officials to deliberate on possibilities for reforms in the mining sector. He said that new policy initiatives and reforms should be identified and a concrete roadmap prepared to ensure increased revenue generation. He also emphasized the need for exploring new opportunities and adopting innovation in the sector.
As part of his Udaipur visit, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas also visited the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur located at Balicha. He toured the campus and interacted with faculty members and academic staff, gathering detailed information about the institute’s activities and future plans, while emphasizing the vision of a developed India.
