CM Bhajanlal Sharma Attends Lalita Mahayagya Ceremony, Emphasises Role of Dharma in Nation-Building

Jaipur, March 2026 : Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that adherence to dharma (righteousness) is essential for building a strong society and nation, asserting that no work—whether in politics or any other field—can be carried out effectively without it.

Addressing the gathering at the Purnahuti (concluding ceremony) of the Shri Lalita Mahayagya and the consecration (Pran Pratishtha) of the Saraswati Mata Temple at Kanana Shri Math in Balotra on Tuesday, Sharma said that true progress and achievements are possible only when guided by dharma. He added that the Sanatan tradition inspires people to move forward with social unity while staying rooted in righteous values.

Describing Rajasthan as a land where valour, faith, and devotion converge, the Chief Minister said that the blessings of saints and spiritual leaders are contributing to a revival of Sanatan culture in the state. He noted that such religious events not only strengthen social harmony but also help connect future generations with their cultural heritage.

Highlighting the significance of Balotra as a spiritual centre, Sharma said that its pilgrimage sites stand as guardians of the state’s rich cultural legacy, while the sacred land of Kanana Math radiates a unique spiritual energy.

Referring to developments at the national level, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has witnessed a historic transformation in its religious and cultural landscape. He cited initiatives such as the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi, and the Mahakal Mahalok project in Ujjain, along with infrastructure development under the PRASAD scheme, as key milestones.

Sharma said that serving faith is the highest form of public service and added that the state government is giving special attention to the development of pilgrimage sites. He highlighted schemes like the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme, which enables elderly citizens to undertake free pilgrimages, and the Mukhyamantri Viksit Gram and Ward Yojana, aimed at systematic development of religious places.

Devasthan Minister Joraram Kumawat said that several initiatives are being undertaken under the Chief Minister’s leadership to promote Sanatan values, including the decision to celebrate Rajasthan Day on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada.

During the event, Mahant Parashuram Giri Maharaj welcomed the Chief Minister and praised his leadership for welfare-oriented initiatives. He said such religious gatherings symbolize the identity of Sanatan culture and promote global peace.

Earlier, Sharma performed the final rituals of the Mahayagya and honoured saints from across the country. He was also presented with a Shri Yantra as a mark of respect.
