Integrated Soldiers’ Welfare Complex Inaugurated in Didwana

Jaipur, March 24: Rajasthan’s Minister for Soldiers’ Welfare, Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, on Tuesday inaugurated a newly constructed Integrated Soldiers’ Welfare Complex in Didwana, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to the welfare and honour of ex-servicemen.

Addressing the gathering, Rathore said the facility would serve as a vital support centre for thousands of ex-servicemen (ESM), war widows, and their dependents in the region. He emphasized that the primary objective of the integrated complex is to ensure quick and efficient resolution of issues faced by former soldiers and their families.

The minister highlighted that key services such as the District Soldiers’ Welfare Office, pension assistance centre, and other essential facilities will now be available under one roof, significantly easing access for beneficiaries. He reiterated that the welfare of those who have served the nation remains a top priority for the government.

“Soldiers are defined not just by their uniform, but by their courage and dedication. A soldier pledges lifelong service to the nation,” Rathore said, underlining the enduring contribution of armed forces personnel.

During the event, the minister also honoured officials who played a significant role in the construction of the complex. He interacted with ex-servicemen, listened to their suggestions, and assured them of prompt resolution of their concerns.

The programme began with Rathore paying floral tributes to martyrs, acknowledging their supreme sacrifice. He later toured the newly built facility to review its arrangements and also inspected a medical camp organised for ex-servicemen and their families on the occasion.

Earlier, the gathering was addressed by retired Major General Narpat Singh Rajpurohit, local MLA Yunus Khan, and Jitendra Singh Jodha. District Soldiers’ Welfare Officer Rajendra Singh Shekhawat delivered the vote of thanks.

A large number of ex-servicemen, their families, senior officials, and representatives from the Soldiers’ Welfare Department attended the event, making it a significant occasion dedicated to honouring the service and sacrifice of the nation’s heroes.
