CM Yogi performs cow service at Gorakhnath Temple’s cowshed
Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath, who arrived in Gorakhpur on Monday night following his participation in Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations, performed ‘gauseva’ (cow service) at the the Gorakhnath temple cowshed on Tuesday morning. The Chief Minister checked on the well-being of the cows, and fed them jaggery and bananas with care.
CM Yogi adhered to his usual routine in Gorakhpur on Tuesday. At the outset, he offered prayers at the Gorakhnath Temple. He then paid homage to his guru, Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath at his memorial before proceeding to the cowshed.
While walking through the cowshed, CM Yogi Adityanath affectionately called the cows by names like Shyama, Gauri, Ganga, and Bhola. His familiar voice drew many of them to him.
The Chief Minister gently stroked their foreheads, showered them with affection, and fed them jaggery and bananas. He also inquired about the cows’ health and nutrition from the cowshed workers and provided necessary instructions for their care.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also interacted warmly with the children and their families on the temple premises. Upon noticing the children, he warmly invited them over, asking their names, where they were from, and which classes they were in.
He engaged with them in a friendly and playful manner, joking, touching their foreheads, and offering blessings. He also seized the moment to encourage them to study hard and excel in life, emphasizing the importance of education. He also gifted the children with chocolates as a customary gesture of affection.
