Grand Procession Held on the Occasion of Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti

Jaipur, April 2026: A grand procession was held on the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti, organized by the Brahmin community of Alwar. Minister of State for Environment and Forests (Independent Charge) Sanjay Sharma flagged off the procession from Parshuram Bhawan near Delhi Gate by waving the ceremonial flag.

During the event, the minister also participated in a grand prayer ceremony at Hope Circus, where he offered prayers to Parshuram and wished for the prosperity, happiness, and well-being of the state.

Addressing the gathering, Sharma said that Bhagwan Parshuram stood against injustice and worked to support the oppressed. He emphasized that by following the values and teachings of Parshuram, society can foster equality and harmony. The minister also took part in the procession by serving as the charioteer of the ceremonial vehicle carrying the deity.

A large number of members of the Brahmin community participated in the procession, which was warmly welcomed across the city by various groups with flower showers. The procession began at Delhi Gate and concluded at the Brahmin Hostel amid great enthusiasm and celebration.
