Gram-2026 Investor Meet Held in New Delhi to Boost Agricultural Investment in Rajasthan

Jaipur, April 2026: The Gram-2026 Investor Meet was organised in New Delhi on Thursday, where Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma held one-on-one meetings with trade representatives from various countries, entrepreneurs, and startups to explore opportunities for agricultural investment in the state.

During the event, the Chief Minister interacted with commercial and agricultural representatives from the embassies of Canada, Russia, Australia, Italy, Brazil, Vietnam, and Argentina. Discussions focused on enhancing agricultural investments in Rajasthan and strengthening the sector through modern techniques and global collaboration.

Sharma emphasised that farmers would be empowered by adopting advanced agricultural technologies and expanding food processing activities. He noted that the investor meet would provide farmers in Rajasthan with opportunities to connect with both national and international markets. Increased exports of crops and agri-products, he said, would lead to higher incomes for farmers.

He also highlighted that the event would open new avenues for agri-startups, enabling them to grow and innovate. This, in turn, would create employment opportunities at the local level and strengthen the rural economy.

A key part of the discussions revolved around agriculture and technology. In his meetings, the Chief Minister explored Russia’s drone technology, Canada’s agri-processing methods and stubble management practices, Brazil’s model for boosting soybean production, and the potential of producing methanol from maize. These interactions aimed at identifying innovative solutions that could be adapted for Rajasthan’s agricultural landscape.

Sharma directed officials to strengthen engagement with countries that have demonstrated excellence in agriculture. He stressed the need to appoint dedicated officers to facilitate knowledge exchange and ensure that advanced farming practices and technologies from these nations are effectively implemented for the benefit of farmers in the state.

The meet also served as a precursor to the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet scheduled to be held from May 23 to 25. This upcoming event is expected to bring together farmers, scientists, investors, and policymakers on a single platform to collaborate on the future of agriculture.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Bhagirath Choudhary, Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal, Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat, Minister of State for Cooperation (Independent Charge) Gautam Kumar, Rajasthan Farmers Commission Chairman C.R. Choudhary, Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research Dr. M.L. Jat, Principal Secretary (Agriculture) Manju Rajpal, along with senior officials from various departments.

The Gram-2026 Investor Meet marks a significant step towards positioning Rajasthan as a key destination for agricultural investment, innovation, and sustainable growth.
