Chief Minister Attends Consecration Ceremony and Vishnu Mahayagya at ‘24 Avatar Dham’; Prays for Peace and Prosperity of the State
Patna, June 2026: Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday attended the grand Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav-cum-Vishnu Mahayagya and Sant Mahakumbh at the renowned 24 Avatar Dham located at Chakoti Math in Khanpur block of Samastipur district. He participated in the event as the chief guest.
On the occasion, amid the chanting of Vedic hymns, the Chief Minister performed rituals and offered prayers to the 24 incarnations of Lord Mahavishnu and other deities. He prayed for peace, prosperity, well-being, and progress of the state and its people.
During the programme, the Chief Minister unveiled the foundation plaque and formally inaugurated the newly established 24 Avatar Dham dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu within the Chakoti Math complex.
Addressing the gathering, he greeted the saints, spiritual leaders, and devotees present at the event and said that the 24 Avatar Dham at Chakoti Math would emerge as a major centre of faith and spiritual awakening for devotees from across the country in the coming years.
He remarked that religious and spiritual events play a vital role in preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage and Sanatan traditions. Such gatherings generate positive energy in society and strengthen social harmony, values, and nation-building efforts.
Upon his arrival at Chakoti Math, the Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by Shri Shri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Ram Sewak Das Shastri Ji Maharaj, who honoured him with a grand floral garland and a traditional ceremonial turban (Pag).
Local public representatives, devotees, and temple volunteers also accorded him a traditional welcome by presenting makhana garlands, ceremonial shawls, and floral bouquets.
Among those present on the occasion were Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Health Minister Nishant, Transport Minister Damodar Rawat, Samastipur MP Shambhavi Choudhary, former minister and MLA Maheshwar Hazari, MLA Rajesh Kumar Singh, MLA Ashwamedh Devi, and several other public representatives.
Senior administrative officials attending the programme included Darbhanga Divisional Commissioner Himanshu Kumar Rai, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Darbhanga Range) Manoj Tiwari, and Samastipur District Magistrate Roshan Kushwaha, along with other officers.
A large number of saints, devotees, and members of the public participated in the event, making it a significant spiritual and cultural gathering in the region.
