An Evening of Spiritual Reflection Adorned with Buddha’s Teachings
Lucknow, May 2026 : On the eve of Buddha Purnima, an evening of spiritual reflection was organized on Thursday by Sambhavna Natya Manch at the Sangeet Bhavan complex in Gomti Nagar. The program centered around the life events of Lord Buddha—his birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana—spreading messages of peace, compassion, and self-awareness.
The event began with an introductory address by Dr. Manisha, who highlighted the relevance of Buddha’s philosophy in contemporary times. This was followed by a ten-minute Vipassana meditation session conducted under the guidance of Guru Satyanarayan Goenka, where participants experienced inner peace through silent meditation.
During the program, a collective rendition of the devotional song “Sabka Mangal, Sabka Mangal Hoye Re” filled the atmosphere with spiritual energy. The performance featured voices of Praveen Gaur, Sunita Veer, Saumya Goyal, Vinita Mishra, Deepika Morrison, Mihika Ganguly, Avika Ganguly, Aadrika Mishra, Avyukta Srivastava, Karnika Singh, Aastha, and Aashvi Singh.
A theatrical presentation by children titled “Bhagwan Hote Hain” became a major highlight of the event. Bhumi played the role of Lord Buddha, while Aastha, Mahak, Avika, Avyukta, Aadrika, and Karnika brought the roles of his disciples to life. Additionally, a short play titled “Buddha Kahte Hain Safal Hone Ke Liye” was performed by Shubhra, Suman, Mihika, Pragya, Vinita, and Deepika Morrison, delivering a powerful message.
The event followed a dress code of white attire with orange stoles, symbolizing purity and wisdom. Attendees imbibed these values and pledged to promote peace, coexistence, and positivity in society. Guru Gayatri David, Nivedita Bhattacharya, and several others were also present at the program.
