Lucknow/Prayagraj/Bareilly, May 2026 : People from several districts have welcomed the Yogi government’s decision to keep the Ganga Expressway toll-free for 15 days. People say that apart from devotees, lawyers going to the High Court, litigants, witnesses, and traders will benefit from this free facility. This highway, which runs from Meerut to Prayagraj, connects 12 districts.

The Ganga Expressway is set to become a key link between eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. Its final point is Prayagraj. Mahendra Goyal, state president of the Confederation of All India Traders Union, said that this will greatly help traders. Thousands of litigants and lawyers coming to the Allahabad High Court from western UP will benefit from free travel. Rakesh Pandey, president of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association, said that two weeks are enough for litigants and lawyers to understand and get used to travel on the Ganga Expressway.

A large number of people travel from Bareilly to Prayagraj, and this expressway will benefit them greatly. With the Ganga Expressway, it has become much easier for people from Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Badaun and nearby districts to visit the High Court and take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. In just two days, more than 5,000 people have enjoyed the free high-speed travel.
