Sainik School Chhingchhip Celebrates 10th Founder’s Day; Mr. Tbc Lalvenchunga (Mla) Attends As Chief Guest

Serchhip, May 2026: Sainik School Chhingchhip celebrated its 10th Founder’s Day today at the School Assembly Hall and Parade Ground in the presence of Chief Guest Mr. TBC Lalvenchunga, MLA and Advisor (Finance & Planning) to the Chief Minister of Mizoram. The landmark institutional event was also attended by Guest of Honor Brigadier Pushpendar Sorayan, Commander of the 23 Sector, Assam Rifles, alongside senior civil dignitaries, military officers, ex-students, and parents.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest exhorted the cadets to apply themselves single-mindedly to their studies, emphasizing that knowledge has become the most vital asset in today’s world. He encouraged the students to actively participate in games, sports, and co-curricular activities to nurture a well-rounded personality. Mr. TBC Lalvenchunga further urged the people of the state to fully utilize the premier institution by admitting their wards to groom them into future leaders of the nation.

The program included a welcome address from Mrs. Zirsangpuii, PGT English, and the presentation of the Annual Report by Principal Col. Soumyabrata Dhar highlighting academic and sports achievements. The celebration featured a vibrant cultural show, including an entertaining solo song, traditional Mizo fusion group dances, Rawkhatlak, and a patriotic dance. During the prize-giving ceremony, outstanding cadets received book prizes and certificates, with the Mahendra Nath Mulla (Green) House lifting the coveted Best in Academics Trophy. The grand event culminated with a Science and Arts Exhibition showcasing the innovative projects and creative talents of the cadets.
