Paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the protection of their land and people, Pu Lalbiakzama said the contributions of the martyrs could never be fully expressed in words. He added that their sacrifice was not merely a matter of remembrance but a treasured heritage for the entire community. According to him, the courage and patriotism shown by the martyrs continue to inspire younger generations with values of bravery, unity, and love for the land.

The Speaker also highlighted the importance of the close relationship between the Hmar community and the broader Mizo identity. He appreciated Hmar leaders and organisations for giving importance to Mizo/Zo unity. He described the reaffirmation of Mizo/Zo identity by Hmar organisations in Manipur as an important step towards preserving the unity and cultural heritage of the Zo people.
Pu Lalbiakzama further welcomed the successful peace agreement reached between the Mizoram government and the HPC-D. He expressed happiness that the era of armed conflict had come to an end and said the peace process would strengthen unity and development.
Speaking on the ethnic conflict in Manipur, the Speaker said it was deeply painful to witness the hardships faced by Zo people in the region. He appealed to all Zo and Mizo communities to continue preserving unity and brotherhood. He urged people to remember that despite differences in dialects and identities, the larger Mizo/Zo identity binds them together, and called upon everyone to preserve their culture and identity while remaining united.
Encouraging the younger generation, Pu Lalbiakzama said the lives of the martyrs teach important lessons of courage, honesty, hard work, humility, compassion, and sacrifice for the nation and community.
