Launch of ‘Jan Bhagidari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle’ Programme Held at Khawzawl
Khawzawl, May 2026: The inauguration of the ‘Jan Bhagidari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle’ programme was held yesterday at the DC Conference Hall in Khawzawl, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Pu K. Vanlalthiana.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the importance of widespread awareness to ensure that government welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiaries in a fair and effective manner. He said that officials of various departments must work with greater dedication and urgency so that the benefits of government initiatives reach a large number of people.
He urged departmental heads to actively implement schemes and ensure that eligible beneficiaries are not left out due to lack of information or accessibility issues.
The ‘Jan Bhagidari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle’ programme, which translates to “People’s Participation – The Farthest First, The Foremost First,” is a central government initiative implemented under the PM-JANMAN and DAJGUA schemes. The programme is designed to promote inclusive development by ensuring that welfare benefits reach the most remote and inaccessible regions on a priority basis, particularly tribal communities living in far-flung areas.
The initiative focuses on bridging developmental gaps by taking government schemes directly to remote villages and ensuring last-mile delivery of services. It also aims to strengthen people’s participation in governance and development processes.
The programme is being conducted from May 18 to May 25 across various villages in Khawzawl district. During this period, awareness campaigns, outreach activities, and distribution of information regarding government schemes will be carried out in different parts of the district to ensure maximum coverage and participation.
