Chief Minister  chairs review meeting on Mhari Sadak App

Mandatory review of major complaints in public grievance and monthly review meetings in every district, directs  Chief Minister

CM directs confiscation of bank guarantees of agencies failing to carry out repairs under DLP

CM issues special directions to improve road repair, construction and infrastructure facilities

Chandigarh, May 2026 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini has directed that in all districts of the state, at least one major complaint received on the “Mhari Sadak App” must be mandatorily reviewed in public grievance meetings and in monthly review meetings chaired by Deputy Commissioners. The objective is to enhance the usefulness of the app and ensure strict action against officers showing negligence in grievance redressal.

The Chief Minister gave these directions while chairing a review meeting regarding the “Mhari Sadak App” on Tuesday. During the meeting, officers apprised the Chief Minister  that the second version of the app was launched in December 2025.  Besides this, officers from HARTRON  further apprised the Chief Minister  on 17 key issues raised in the Apex committee meeting held on May 11 and the steps taken on them.

The Chief Minister was further  apprised that under the mapping of various departments in Haryana, a total of 1,43,065 roads, covering approximately 63,389 kilometres, have been mapped on the “Mhari Sadak App” so far.

The Chief Minister directed that the geo-tagging of roads be completed with speed and accuracy. Officers further informed that 31,939 complaints have been resolved through the app so far.

The Chief Minister  was further apprised about the download status of the app on Android and iOS platforms. Around 25 officers from PWD, NHAI, HARTRON and other departments remained present in the meeting.

The Chief Minister reviewed complaints and action taken reports from all departments. He directed that greater public awareness should be created about the “Mhari Sadak App”. He specifically  directed that taxi drivers associated with aggregator companies such as Ola and Uber should also be informed about the benefits of the app.

The Chief Minister further directed that drivers visiting RTO offices for taxi passing should be asked to download the app on their mobile phones so that they can directly report road conditions to the government and concerned departments.

Strict action against agencies and officers

During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed strict action against those showing negligence in addressing road-related complaints received through the “Mhari Sadak App” and the Chief Minister’s Office. He stated that if any contractor fails to repair roads under the Defect Liability Period (DLP), their bank guarantee should be confiscated. If a firm faces such action three times, it should be blacklisted.

Taking serious note of pending complaints, the Chief Minister directed action against more than a dozen officers  and employees who had shown laxity in their work.

Focus on short-term tenders and border areas

The Chief Minister directed that complaints received on the app must be resolved on a priority basis. He  said that tender processes for road construction and repair often take considerable time, and therefore  directed that a short-term tender system should be adopted. He further directed that work should begin within 10 days of bid submission to ensure timely road improvement for the public.

He also emphasized special attention on the maintenance and development of roads in interstate border areas of Haryana.

Accountability of officers to be ensured

The Chief Minister  directed to fix accountability of officers regarding road quality and maintenance. He also directed beautification works such as painting of bridges and walls to enhance the appearance of road infrastructure. Officers  were directed to regularly inspect roads in their respective areas and ensure timely maintenance.

He further directed that all documentation related to new road construction should be completed between January and July so that the monsoon does not delay the work. He emphasized accelerating construction work in suitable weather conditions to ensure timely completion.

Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary PWD (B&R)  Department, Sh. A.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Development and Panchayats Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, Commissioner & Secretary Public Health Engineering Department,  Sh. J. Ganesan, Chief Administrator HSVP,  Sh. Chander Shekhar Khare, Director Urban Estate Haryana,  Sh. Amit Khatri, and Director HARSAC,  Dr. Sultan Singh, along with several other officers also remained present  during the meeting.
