Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari Offers Prayers at 151-Kund Mahayagya in Ghatta Nenwari, Sawai Madhopur

Jaipur, May 2026: Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Thursday participated in the 151-kund Mahayagya held at the Bhagwan Devnarayan Temple in Ghatta Nenwari village of Mitrapura tehsil, Sawai Madhopur district.

She performed rituals at the main yajna kund amid Vedic chants and prayed for the prosperity, happiness, and overall well-being of the state. The Deputy Chief Minister also sought blessings for peace and development in Rajasthan.

After participating in the Mahayagya, she visited the hilltop Bhagwan Devnarayan Temple, where she performed aarti and offered prayers. Devotees warmly welcomed her in the temple premises with traditional hospitality. The religious event created a deeply devotional atmosphere across the region, attracting a large number of devotees from nearby and distant areas.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari also participated in the kalash yatra that commenced from Doi Mod. Addressing the gathering, she said that religious ceremonies play an important role in strengthening social harmony and brotherhood. She noted that ancestors have preserved Sanatan traditions through yajnas and religious events conducted from time to time, which continue to pass cultural values to future generations.

She added that such events help connect youth with cultural roots and traditions, ensuring continuity of heritage. The state government, she said, remains committed to the preservation and promotion of religious and cultural events.

Diya Kumari further emphasised that such spiritual programmes should continue to be organised regularly as they promote positive energy, unity, and social cohesion in society.

The event was attended by trust office-bearer Hanuman Saradhna, along with several public representatives and a large number of devotees.
