Chief Minister Visits Village Early Morning, Interacts with Residents; Calls “Rama-Shyama” Tradition the Beauty of Rural Life

Jaipur, May 2026 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, after staying overnight in Dhambola village of Dungarpur district, took an early morning walk through the village on Friday and interacted with local residents.

During his visit, the Chief Minister walked through village lanes, met elderly citizens, enquired about their well-being, and sought their blessings. He also spoke to local shopkeepers to understand their businesses and daily activities. Villagers were visibly moved by the simplicity and warmth of the Chief Minister.

While interacting with people at various stops, the Chief Minister listened to their problems and suggestions and also took feedback on various government welfare schemes. He said that rural communities are special because people live with a sense of mutual care and regularly share joys and sorrows. He described the tradition of greeting and connecting with each other—“Rama-Shyama”—as one of the greatest cultural strengths of village life.

Atal Knowledge Centres Helping Rural Youth Prepare for Competitive Exams

Over a cup of tea with villagers, the Chief Minister said that the state government is establishing Atal Knowledge Centres in all panchayats. These centres are providing books, newspapers, and study material to rural youth, helping reduce their financial burden and enabling them to prepare for competitive exams while staying in their villages.

He added that expanding basic infrastructure in villages remains a top priority of the government, and all necessary development works will be completed in a phased manner.

‘Vande Ganga Jal Conservation Campaign’ from Ganga Dussehra

The Chief Minister said that proper management of rainwater and conservation of ponds can significantly reduce water scarcity in villages. He emphasised that water conservation goals can only be achieved through public participation and collective responsibility.

He announced that the state government will launch the “Vande Ganga Jal Conservation Campaign” on Ganga Dussehra (May 25). Under this initiative, water conservation and water harvesting works will be undertaken in villages with active community participation, aimed at improving groundwater levels.

Earlier, the Chief Minister visited Govardhan Nath Ji Temple and Mata Ji Temple, where he prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.

During the visit, he also spent time with children playing badminton in the village. The Chief Minister joined them in a game, encouraged them, and distributed chocolates, making the children extremely happy.

He also directed police officials to launch a widespread awareness campaign against drug abuse and involve more youth in the initiative. The district administration was instructed to construct embankments at Khemsagar pond and undertake plantation activities. He further directed officials to improve sports facilities and ensure quality construction of classrooms in government schools based on villagers’ demands.
