CM Devendra Fadnavis Says Siddhivinayak Temple Beautification Project Will Give the Area a New Look

Mumbai, May 2026 : The Shri Siddhivinayak Temple attracts devotees from across India and abroad, and efforts are being made to ensure that devotees can have a smooth and quicker darshan experience, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He added that infrastructure development work is already underway in the temple premises, and as part of this effort, a comprehensive beautification project has been undertaken. The completion of this project will give the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple complex a completely new look, he said.

The Chief Minister performed the bhoomipujan (groundbreaking ceremony) for the first phase of the beautification works of the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple complex. Speaking to the media after the ceremony, he shared details of the project.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Shri Siddhivinayak Ganpati Temple Trust Chairman (Minister of State rank) Sadanand Shankar Sarvankar, MLAs Kalidas Kolambkar and Prasad Lad, Mayor Ritu Tawde, Deputy Mayor Sanjay Ghadi, and Treasurer Acharya Pawan Tripathi, along with trustees of the temple trust.

Fadnavis stated that the beautification project will significantly improve facilities for the large number of devotees visiting the temple every day and will also create a more peaceful and pleasant environment within the temple premises. He emphasized that the initiative is aimed at enhancing both convenience and spiritual experience for visitors, while preserving the cultural and religious importance of the shrine.
