Health Minister Lalrinpuii Visits Siaha
Siaha, June 2026: Mizoram Health and Family Welfare Minister Lalrinpuii arrived in Siaha on Tuesday evening. She was received at the Tourist Lodge by District Commissioner V.L. Hruaizela Khiangte, government officials, representatives of voluntary organizations, and party functionaries.
Following her arrival, a brief interaction session was held at the reception hall, where the minister met with officials and representatives from various organizations.
Addressing the gathering, Lalrinpuii extended her greetings and praised the cooperation among different government departments in the district. She urged all stakeholders to continue working collectively and contribute their best efforts toward the overall development of Siaha district.
The minister commended healthcare workers in Siaha for their dedicated service, particularly their efforts in combating diseases such as malaria and scrub typhus. She described their work as highly commendable and acknowledged the important role played by various voluntary organizations and churches in supporting government initiatives and public health campaigns.
Lalrinpuii also appreciated the spirit of cooperation demonstrated by local communities in assisting government efforts aimed at improving healthcare services and public welfare.
According to her scheduled programme, the minister will visit the under-construction nursing school in Siaha on Wednesday. She is also set to visit the Maraland Gospel Centenary Hospital and inaugurate a new CT Scan machine and a new RT-PCR laboratory at the District Hospital.
The visit is aimed at reviewing healthcare infrastructure and strengthening medical services in the district, particularly in improving diagnostic and treatment facilities for local residents.
