Chief Minister Directs Strict Compliance with Standards for NEET-2026 Examination

Patna, June 2026 : Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday conducted a high-level review meeting at the Sankalp Hall of the Chief Minister’s residence regarding preparations for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-2026, scheduled to be held on June 21, 2026.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister issued necessary directions to officials to ensure the successful, fair, transparent, peaceful, and malpractice-free conduct of the examination.

Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department, Dr. B. Rajendra, briefed the Chief Minister on the preparations and arrangements being made for the examination. He informed that NEET-2026 will be conducted at 331 examination centres across 35 districts of Bihar. The administration is fully geared up to ensure a fair and transparent examination process.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that there is no negligence of any kind in the conduct of the examination and that all prescribed guidelines and standards are strictly followed. He stressed that all preparations should be completed within the stipulated timeline.

He said providing candidates with a safe, smooth, and well-organised environment at examination centres is the government’s top priority. To support students appearing for NEET-2026, free travel on all state government buses will be provided, and officials have been instructed to make the necessary arrangements.

The Chief Minister also directed all District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police to ensure adequate security at examination centres. He emphasised the need for strict security of question papers, continuous monitoring of examination centres, and close surveillance of anti-social elements.

He instructed authorities to take immediate and strict action in case of any information regarding irregularities, malpractice, or attempts to disrupt the examination process.

Further, the Chief Minister directed that examination centres be equipped with adequate drinking water facilities, clean toilets, uninterrupted electricity supply, medical assistance, and other basic amenities.

Special emphasis was placed on ensuring convenient transportation, proper traffic management, and effective information dissemination systems for candidates and their parents or guardians.

He reiterated that the state government is fully committed to maintaining a fair and transparent examination system and will not tolerate any form of misconduct or irregularity.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. B. Rajendra, Secretaries to the Chief Minister, senior officials of the Home Department, and other senior administrative and police officers.
