Meeting Held to Review Pending Applications Under PM SVANidhi Scheme

Chief Secretary Directs Early Disposal of Pending Cases and Faster Loan Sanctions and Disbursements

Jaipur, June 2026: A review meeting on pending applications under the PM SVANidhi Scheme was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. The meeting assessed the status of applications received under the scheme, progress in approvals and loan disbursements, and examined in detail cases that remain pending due to various reasons.

Officials informed the meeting that a total of 34,893 applications have been received under the scheme since January 27, 2026. Of these, 14,169 applications have been approved, while loans have been disbursed in 12,129 cases. The meeting also reviewed 2,616 pending applications and discussed the reasons behind delays in their processing.

The Chief Secretary directed officials to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of the scheme within a stipulated timeframe. He instructed all concerned departments and institutions to expedite the approval and loan disbursement process and ensure the prompt resolution of pending cases.

Emphasising the importance of the initiative, Srinivas said the PM SVANidhi Scheme was designed to provide easy access to financial assistance for street vendors, hawkers, and individuals engaged in small self-employment activities. He stressed that all stakeholder departments, financial institutions, and implementing agencies must work in close coordination to achieve the scheme’s objectives effectively.

The Chief Secretary also underlined the need for regular monitoring and faster processing of applications so that beneficiaries do not face unnecessary delays in accessing financial support that can help strengthen their livelihoods and businesses.

It was noted during the meeting that the PM SVANidhi Scheme, launched in 2020, has played a significant role in supporting small vendors and informal-sector entrepreneurs by providing collateral-free working capital loans. The first phase of the scheme was completed in December 2025, and its implementation will continue until 2030.

The meeting was attended by Ravi Jain, Secretary of the Department of Local Self Government, senior departmental officials, and representatives of various public and private sector banks involved in implementing the scheme. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries receive timely assistance under the programme.
