CM Yogi takes a stern view of complaints related to police inaction and illegal encroachments, directs officials to closely monitor such cases
Lucknow, June 2026 : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a Janata Darshan on Monday morning. During the interaction, he met people who had come from across the state, listened to their grievances, and directed officials to ensure prompt resolution of their problems.
A young girl sought the Chief Minister’s help for higher education, following which he instructed officials to facilitate her admission to an institution in Lucknow.
Taking a strict stance on complaints related to police inaction and illegal encroachments, CM Yogi directed officials to closely monitor such cases and ensure justice for the affected individuals.
A young girl from Lucknow arrived at the Janata Darshan with her elderly mother. She informed the Chief Minister that she had passed her Intermediate examination with good marks and wished to pursue a B.Tech degree, but was facing financial difficulties. After reviewing her marksheet, CM Yogi encouraged her to focus on her studies and assured her that admission would be arranged in a reputed institution. He said, “The government would not allow the education of any poor or needy student to be hindered due to financial constraints.”
Encouraged by the positive assurance, both the daughter and her mother expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.
Petitioners from various districts submitted representations to the Chief Minister, complaining about police inaction and the lack of appropriate action in cases involving illegal encroachments.
CM Yogi heard each case and then handed over the applications to senior officials, directing them to closely monitor the matters. He instructed them to ensure justice for the victims and take action against those found guilty. The Chief Minister also assured the complainants that their grievances would be addressed at the earliest.
Some complainants had come directly to the Janata Darshan. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked them which district-level officials they had approached with their grievances. A few petitioners replied that they had come directly to him.
The Chief Minister advised them to take care of their health amid the intense summer heat and urged them to first submit their complaints to district and divisional-level authorities. He noted that many issues could be resolved at those levels itself.
