Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan Visits India, Meets PM Modi
New Delhi : Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in New Delhi for his inaugural official visit to India. He was warmly welcomed by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, and received a ceremonial reception.
Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), emphasized the importance of the visit, calling it a new chapter in the historic relations between India and the UAE. Photographs shared by Jaiswal showed Piyush Goyal greeting the Crown Prince.
The Crown Prince’s visit, spanning September 9-10, includes meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. He is also scheduled to visit Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi.
On September 10, Sheikh Khaled will head to Mumbai, where he will participate in a business forum featuring leaders from both Indian and Emirati industries.
The MEA stated that the visit aims to strengthen the already robust bilateral relationship between India and the UAE while exploring new areas of collaboration. Earlier this year, Prime Minister Modi visited the UAE, where he met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and witnessed the signing of eight bilateral agreements.
During that visit, PM Modi also inaugurated Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple and addressed the Indian community at the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event.
