Chief Secretary Reviews Key Government Programmes, Directs Mission-Mode Implementation of ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ Campaign
Jaipur, July 2026 : Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Committee of Secretaries to review the progress of centrally sponsored schemes, expenditure under the Mother Sanction framework, the Hariyalo Rajasthan plantation campaign, and the ongoing Urban and Rural Service Camps across the state.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed all departments to ensure that the large-scale plantation drive under the Hariyalo Rajasthan campaign is completed within the stipulated timeline in mission mode. He stressed the importance of maximizing public participation by making effective use of social media and other communication platforms to create greater awareness about the campaign.
He also instructed the nodal officers of the concerned departments to carry out regular inspections and continuous monitoring of plantation activities to ensure the successful implementation of the campaign.
Officials informed the meeting that the Rajasthan government has set an ambitious target of planting more than 100 million (10 crore) saplings during the current monsoon season. To achieve this goal, large-scale sapling distribution and plantation drives are being conducted across the state under a mission-mode approach.
The Forest Department informed the meeting that Jaipur, Balotra, Barmer, Jhalawar and Kota are currently leading the state in plantation activities under the campaign.
Reviewing the progress of the Urban and Rural Service Camps-2026, the Chief Secretary directed officials to ensure that there is no negligence in the conduct of the camps. He instructed that immediate action should be taken against any official if complaints regarding poor implementation or negligence are received.
He emphasized that the maximum number of citizen grievances and service requests should be resolved on the spot during the camps so that people receive prompt relief without unnecessary delays.
According to officials, under the Urban Service Camps-2026, more than 28,000 land ownership pattas have been distributed so far. Meanwhile, under the Rural Service Camps-2026, the government has organized 7,314 camps, benefiting more than 3.8 million (38 lakh) citizens across the state.
Officials also informed the meeting that over 12,800 public access routes and pathways have been reopened during the rural service campaign, improving connectivity and resolving long-pending public access issues in villages.
The Chief Secretary also conducted a department-wise review of funds received and expenditure incurred under the Mother Sanction mechanism. He instructed all departments to ensure the timely and effective utilization of sanctioned funds so that development projects can be accelerated and the benefits of government schemes reach citizens within the prescribed timelines.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Shikhar Agrawal, Additional Chief Secretary (Skill and Entrepreneurship) Sandeep Verma, Additional Chief Secretary (Higher and Technical Education) Kuldeep Ranka, Additional Chief Secretary (Forest) Anand Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development and Housing) Alok Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary (Administrative Reforms and Coordination) Dinesh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (School Education) Rajesh Kumar Yadav, along with Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and senior officials from various departments.
