The society in which the elders are respected, that society progresses. By inculcating respect for them, we can preserve our civilization and culture. Respect for elders is the hallmark of our culture. Today, the first Guru for children is their parents. Grandparents teach children values. It is the responsibility of the elders to give the benefit of their experience to the coming generation as a blessing. Society and country will prosper only with the energy of the youth and the experience of the elders.
