Chief Minister and both the Deputy Chief Ministers will also coordinate and co-operate in discharging their responsibilities

Lucknow : In the meeting of council of ministers held on Thursday, chaired by the Chief Minister, new district responsibilities were assigned to the Deputy Chief Ministers, Ministers, State Ministers (independent charge), and State Ministers. The Chief Minister, along with both Deputy Chief Ministers, has been entrusted with reviewing 25 districts each. These district assignments will rotate every four months.

The Chief Minister has urged all council of ministers to maintain mutual coordination and work in collaboration with the organization. He has also issued necessary instructions to ensure that the government’s public welfare policies and schemes reach the people effectively.

Major guidelines given by the Chief Minister to the ministers in charge in the meeting:-

● The Swachhata Abhiyan will be launched on September 17, the birthday of the Honorable Prime Minister. All ministers in charge are expected to ensure participation in this program within their respective districts. Collective efforts are required from everyone to turn this cleanliness campaign into a mass movement.

● As the minister in charge of their respective districts, the Hon’ble Ministers are required to stay in their assigned district for at least 24 hours once every month.

● The Hon’ble Minister in charge will discuss government-related issues with the core committee, prepare a detailed report, and submit it to the relevant department and the Chief Minister’s office each month.

● During each visit, the Hon’ble Minister should hold a meeting with respected citizens, religious leaders, progressive farmers, representatives of business organizations, and groups of social leaders from the district.

● In the district review meeting, public complaints should be resolved based on merit. Issues related to law and security, as well as revenue department matters such as inheritance, measurement, transfer, land use, IGRS, and the CM Helpline, should be reviewed and addressed on a merit basis. A detailed report of this review must be sent to the Chief Minister’s Office and the relevant department.

● During the visit, physical verification of development projects and public welfare schemes from both the Central and State Governments should also be conducted at the local level.

● Physical inspection of any one of the destitute cow shelters, village secretariat, purchase center, fair price shop, agricultural science center is expected during the stay.

● On-site inspection of the works of Atal Residential School, Primary School, School, Government Colleges, Kasturba Gandhi Universities/Colleges under construction, operation of Polytechnic/ITI should be conducted.

● Opportunities for local tourism development should be explored, and strategies for publicity should be discussed. Investment proposals received in the district should be reviewed and discussed with local entrepreneurs and bankers.

● Meet with the district administration and police regarding traffic issues in the district, and review the road safety measures. Additionally, aspirational development blocks should be reviewed during the district review meeting.

● Inspect Primary Health Centers, Community Health Centers, District Hospitals, and Medical Colleges, and review their programs. Assess the status of Ayushman Cards, availability of medicines, and the presence of doctors and paramedical staff. Additionally, inspect Anganwadi centers and development works under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, village secretariats, and the presence of posted personnel in villages.
