Mumbai, June 2026 : Maharashtra Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare and Guardian Minister of Parbhani district, Meghana Sakore-Bordikar, has directed officials to expedite all pending healthcare-related proposals aimed at providing citizens of Parbhani with high-quality, modern, and advanced medical services.

The directives were issued during a review meeting held at the MSRDC Office, Nirmal Bhavan, to assess the status of various pending proposals related to the Health Department in Parbhani district. The meeting was chaired by Minister Sakore-Bordikar.

Several key healthcare infrastructure projects were discussed in detail, including the upgradation of healthcare institutions across the district, establishment of a 50-bed de-addiction centre, development of modular operation theatres, modular labour rooms, and other advanced medical facilities to improve healthcare standards. The meeting also reviewed plans for setting up a state-of-the-art Cath Lab in Selu and introducing robotic surgery services at the Parbhani District Hospital.

The Minister instructed officials to immediately submit proposals required to equip all government hospitals in Parbhani district with world-class medical equipment. Discussions were also held on the proposed Trauma Care Centre at Sonpeth and the Women’s Hospital project in Gangakhed.

Further directions were issued to fast-track proposals for the construction of a 100-bed Women’s Hospital in Jintur, a fully equipped 100-bed Sub-District Hospital in Selu, and a Trauma Care Centre in Bori.

Emphasising the need to introduce cutting-edge medical technology in the district, Sakore-Bordikar directed officials to prepare a comprehensive proposal and a time-bound action plan for launching robotic surgery facilities in Parbhani.

She also instructed the District Surgeon and Deputy Director of Health Services to conduct on-site visits across the district to assess the current healthcare infrastructure and implement necessary measures to strengthen medical services.

The Minister stressed that the government is committed to ensuring that residents of Parbhani receive accessible, efficient, and high-quality healthcare. She noted that strengthening healthcare infrastructure and making modern medical services available to ordinary citizens remains a top priority for the state government.

Sakore-Bordikar reiterated that the administration is determined to bring about comprehensive development in the district’s healthcare sector through improved facilities, upgraded hospitals, advanced medical technology, and better patient care services.

The meeting was attended by Health Services Commissioner Sanjay Katkar, Joint Director of Hospitals Dr. Sunita Golhait, and other senior officials from the Health Department.

The proposed initiatives are expected to significantly enhance healthcare accessibility and quality in Parbhani, while reducing the need for patients to travel to larger cities for specialised treatment and advanced medical procedures.
