Inaugurate Sandipani School Buildings during School Chalein Abhiyan: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed that all priority initiatives of the State Government be implemented expeditiously through focused campaigns to ensure timely achievement of targets. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, chairing a review meeting at the Mantralaya on Thursday to assess the progress of key initiatives and discuss future action plans, said that the ongoing ‘School Chalein Abhiyan’, which will continue until 15 July, should be utilised to inaugurate as many Sandipani School buildings as possible and complete the rationalisation of schools so that students can benefit during the current academic session itself.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav described the Sandipani School initiative as the State’s largest educational innovation and directed the School Education Department to prepare a strategy for branding and promoting the initiative at the national and global levels. The Chief Minister also called for special efforts to accelerate the development of Chitrakoot. He directed that construction of the Sati Anusuya Temple Complex, Sati Anusuya Multi-Facility Centre and Gupt Godavari Temple Complex be completed at the earliest. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the Government of Uttar Pradesh has agreed to the Mandakini River Linking Project, and that the project will soon be finalised during a meeting between the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed that religious and social organisations be encouraged to construct dharamshalas, sarais, Annakshetras (community kitchens), drinking water kiosks, water tanks, hospitals and other public utility facilities at major religious and pilgrimage centres across the State, including Amarkantak, Chitrakoot, Omkareshwar, Maheshwar, Datia, Orchha and Maihar. Such encouragement, he said, may be provided in the form of concessions in registration fees, grants or other incentives.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretaries Mr. Neeraj Mandloi, Mr. Manish Rastogi, Mr. Shivshekhar Shukla, Mr. Sanjay Dubey and Mr. Anupam Rajan, along with Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and other senior officials.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed officials to coordinate with the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries to reclaim land allotted to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in Bhopal that is no longer required for the company’s operations. He instructed that the process be completed at the earliest. The Chief Minister also directed that a grand memorial be developed on the land of Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) after its complete remediation from hazardous chemical waste. The Environmental Planning & Coordination Organisation (EPCO) has been asked to prepare a detailed action plan and study the museum developed in Bhuj, Gujarat, before submitting a formal proposal for a similar world-class memorial in Bhopal.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav further directed that a statewide campaign be launched in all 53,000 villages to facilitate free registration of residential land in rural areas. He instructed officials to conduct extensive public awareness campaigns and organise village-level camps for registration. The Chief Minister also called for simplifying the process of declaring residential land in rural areas. He, referring to drinking water management, said that preparations for summer water supply in both urban and rural areas should be further strengthened. The Chief Minister noted with satisfaction that no district in the State required drinking water transportation during the current summer.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed that Home Guard posts be created in major temples across the State on the lines of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, with the temple management committees bearing the expenditure. He also directed that Agniveers be provided 20 per cent reservation in recruitment to the Special Armed Force (Constable Posts) of the Madhya Pradesh Police. He instructed the Additional Chief Secretary, Home, to initiate the necessary action at the earliest.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, emphasising the importance of punctuality, said that all government employees are required to remain in office from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on working days and discharge their official responsibilities diligently. He directed that biometric attendance systems be installed at the Mantralaya, Satpura and Vindhyachal buildings to ensure timely attendance and departure of officers and employees.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also directed that schools being run by various government departments be rationalised. Hostels for students belonging to different categories should be integrated into common hostels to promote social harmony among students. These integrated hostels, he said, should be named Samrasta Hostels. The Chief Minister said additional land is required for the development of Chitrakoot and Mamleshwar, and directed that suitable forest land be utilised wherever permissible. Officials informed the meeting that the land allocation process is already underway. He further instructed departments to expedite the Ram Van Gaman Path Project and the Shri Krishna Pathay project and ensure their completion within the stipulated timeframe.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also directed that work on the proposed new airport to replace the existing Datana-Matana airstrip in Ujjain be expedited. He said efforts should be made to perform the groundbreaking ceremony at the earliest. Officials informed the meeting that land acquisition has been completed and proceedings under Section 11 have already been undertaken. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new airport will be held shortly.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, concluding the meeting, directed all departments to prepare detailed action plans and ensure timely achievement of the targets assigned to them.
