Washington, July 2026 : US President Donald Trump on Monday marked Space Exploration Day by celebrating America’s historic achievements in space while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to expanding the country’s presence beyond Earth through future missions to the Moon and Mars.

In a presidential message issued by the White House on the 57th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, Trump described the 1969 lunar mission as one of the greatest accomplishments in American history and said it continues to inspire the nation’s pursuit of new frontiers in space.

“This new era rests upon a foundation of unrivalled American strength in space,” Trump said, adding that the Space Force’s advanced technologies help protect American citizens while ensuring the nation’s security from space-based threats.

The President also highlighted initiatives undertaken during his first administration, including the revival of the National Space Council, which he said brought together the military, scientists, government agencies, private industry and the Space Force under a unified strategy for space leadership.

Trump said the council played a key role in coordinating national space policy and ensuring that the United States remained at the forefront of technological innovation and exploration.

Reaffirming his long-term vision, Trump pledged that his administration would continue investing in cutting-edge space technologies, strengthen America’s leadership in space and pursue increasingly ambitious missions across the solar system.

“Under my leadership, America will continue to push beyond every boundary and lead the world ever deeper into the universe,” he said.
