Sports Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar Attends Appreciation Program for Students and Athletes Organized by Thuampui Branch YMA
Aizawl : Today, Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar, the Minister of Sports & Youth Services, graced an event organized by the Thuampui Branch YMA at the Thuampui Venglai Presbyterian Church Hall. The event was held to recognize and appreciate students and athletes from the Thuampui locality.
In his speech, Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar expressed his admiration for the Thuampui Branch YMA for choosing to hold the program at the Church Hall. He noted that, apart from religious gatherings, church halls have long been utilized for various community programs, making them an integral part of society. He also highlighted the importance of time management, particularly for students and athletes, urging them to make the most of their opportunities without letting distractions affect them. He emphasized that such positive gatherings should continue to be organized and encouraged the participants to remain focused on their goals and work diligently.
The Minister also spoke about the increasing competitiveness in the global arena, reminding the youth that they must use their time wisely and adopt a forward-thinking mindset to succeed. He acknowledged the challenges they might face along the way but encouraged them to persist with determination and optimism. He also urged the youth of Thuampui to be role models and contributors to the development of their locality.
The event was presided over by Er. K. Lalrinmawia, President of YMA Thuampui Branch, with Aux. Captain R.K. Lalnghinglova, CO Thuampui CO Bial, facilitating the program. Pu K. Vanneihkima, Assistant Secretary, presented the report, and Pu Ricky Zonunsanga, Vice President, delivered the vote of thanks.
At the ceremony, 111 students (HSLC – 44; HSSLC – 44; Graduate – 13; Post Graduate – 7; Diploma – 3) and 3 outstanding athletes were awarded recognition and appreciation for their achievements.
