Review Meeting of Agriculture Marketing Department Chaired by Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Justice
Jaipur : A review meeting of the Agriculture Marketing Department was held at Circuit House, Jodhpur, on Saturday, chaired by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Justice, Shri Jogaram Patel. The meeting covered various topics, including agriculture, infrastructure development in fruit and vegetable markets, and the financial situation in Jodhpur district. The progress of the construction work at Anganwa Krishi Mandi and the management of Bhadwasiya Mandi were also reviewed.
The Parliamentary Affairs Minister stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, the state government is working with full sensitivity towards agriculture and farmers’ welfare. Several announcements have been made in the agriculture budget with farmers’ interests in mind, and their implementation is being actively pursued.
Shri Patel directed the mandi secretaries to submit a report outlining an action plan to improve the financial condition of the mandis. He also instructed them to ensure that infrastructure development within the mandis is carried out with the highest quality standards.
Additionally, the Minister called for a report on the progress of shop allotments in the fruit and vegetable markets, as well as on the lease and rent of these shops. He further directed officials to take action to refund the deposit amounts and refundable fees to applicants who were not allotted shops, in accordance with the rules.
Mr. Patel also reviewed the financial status of Kisan Bhavan and emphasized the need to provide better basic facilities to farmers in the market yard. He stressed the importance of effective monitoring to ensure a regular cleaning system is maintained in the market area.
