Govt’s Focus on Enhancing City Post-Monsoon – Chief Government Secretary
Autonomous Government Department Holds High-Level Meeting; Directives Issued to Address Stray Animals, Cleanliness, and Road Repairs
Jaipur : Following the monsoon rains, the Rajasthan government has shifted its focus to the cleaning, repair, and protection of city roads. Principal Secretary of the Autonomous Government Department, Mr. Rajesh Yadav, held a high-level meeting with senior officials today, during which he issued key directives.
Pruning Trees and Shrubs to Maintain City’s Aesthetic Appeal
Mr. Rajesh Yadav highlighted that due to the monsoon, trees and shrubs in the city have grown uncontrollably, which now requires systematic pruning to maintain the city’s beauty. He also instructed officials to ensure the proper care and protection of the plants and trees planted during the monsoon season.
Ensure Road Repairs Use High-Quality Materials
Mr. Yadav pointed out that many roads in the city have been damaged by heavy rains. He emphasized that officials should personally oversee the repair work to ensure that high-quality materials are used. He noted that broken roads have caused significant inconvenience to the public and urged that the repairs be completed promptly.
Address Issues of Filth and Stray Animals
Mr. Yadav directed the officials to conduct regular field reviews of the city’s sanitation systems. He expressed concern that the presence of dirt and stray animals gives a poor impression of the city, particularly to foreign tourists and visitors. He stressed the need for a strong focus on improving the city’s cleanliness and addressing the stray animal issue.
Collaborative Work Across Departments
During the meeting, DLB Director Mr. Kumar Pal Gautam encouraged officials to coordinate closely with various departments to ensure the success of all ongoing projects. He emphasized the importance of identifying problems early and solving them collaboratively to present a better image of Rajasthan to the rest of the country. The meeting was also attended by Jaipur Collector Mr. Jitendra Soni, Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rukmani Riar, Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Abhishek Surana, and other senior officials.
