Rahul Gandhi’s Campaign Rally in Nuh and Mahendragarh Ahead of Haryana Elections
As the Haryana Assembly elections draw near, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to hold two crucial public meetings on the final day of campaigning. His first stop will be a Vijay Sankalp rally in Nuh, followed by another rally in Mahendragarh. With voting scheduled for October 5, major parties, including BJP, Congress, JJP, INLD, AAP, and BSP, are making their last efforts to secure voter support.
Nuh, which has been in the spotlight following the riots during July-August 2023, will witness intense political activity. Congress has fielded Aftab Ahmed as its candidate, who previously won the seat in the 2019 elections. The BJP has chosen Sanjay Singh, who previously won the Sohna seat.
Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini commented on Rahul Gandhi’s visit, criticizing him for remaining silent on several pressing issues and labeling his campaign as mere political tourism. He remarked that the youth, Dalits, farmers, and women of Haryana have unanswered questions for Gandhi regarding his past promises and actions.
The Haryana elections will determine the composition of the 90-member state legislative assembly, with results expected to be announced on October 8. In the 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the largest party with 40 seats, while the Congress secured 30 seats.
