Adviser to CM Pu TBC Lalvenchhunga Inaugurates Hnahsin Kut 2024
Champhai : Today, at Aui Garden, Champhai Phai, Hnahsin Kut was inaugurated by the Adviser to the Chief Minister (Planning & Finance), Pu TBC Lalvenchhunga. Adviser to CM (Technical), Champhai North MLA Er H. Ginzalala, and Champhai South MLA Lt. Col. Clement Lalhmingthanga also graced the event.
In his speech, Pu TBC Lalvenchhunga commended the Organising Committee, Champhai Nature Conservancy, and government officials for their efforts in successfully organizing Hnahsin Kut. He also expressed gratitude to the community leaders of Champhai, Phai Phei, and other key stakeholders for their ongoing support and protection of significant areas.
The Adviser mentioned the development Champhai District has seen through various government schemes, including Swadesh Darshan 2.0. He encouraged citizens to support the government’s initiatives and work towards continued progress. He emphasized that Champhai, a key town, requires careful management for sustained growth. He also expressed pride in the local community’s thriving economic activities during Hnahsin Kut, and reiterated Champhai’s status as the “Rice Bowl of Mizoram,” not just for rice production but also for its potential in tourism through agritourism.
Adviser Er H. Ginzalala highlighted that Hnahsin Kut represents a crucial opportunity for enhancing tourism and that the Mizoram government is fully committed to supporting these efforts. He also remarked on Champhai’s potential to become a major tourism hub, supported by initiatives such as Swadesh Darshan 2.0.
Champhai South MLA Lt. Col. Clement Lalhmingthanga praised all those who contributed to the success of Hnahsin Kut, expressing hope that it will continue to be recognized for its importance and cultural significance.
The event was chaired by Pi Zaii Khiangte, and Organising Chairman Dr. Samuel Zodinthara expressed his gratitude to all participants. A report was also presented by Organizing Secretary Pu Felix Lalruatsanga.
Hnahsin Kut 2024 is organized under the leadership of Champhai Nature Conservancy, with several groups contributing. The festival will feature adventure sports, concerts, fashion shows, and various stalls. Additionally, under MzSRLM, the Self Help Groups will showcase their products at the SARAS Fair, held alongside Hnahsin Kut.
