Iran Warns of Striking Israel’s Refineries and Gas Fields if Provoked
Tehran : A senior Iranian military commander issued a stark warning on Friday, stating that Iran would target all of Israel’s refineries and gas fields should Israel “make any mistake.” The semi-official Mehr news agency reported this strong message from Iran’s Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Ali Fadavi.
“If the occupiers make any mistake, we will target all their energy resources, stations, refineries, and gas fields,” Fadavi was quoted as saying by Mehr. His remarks came in response to Israel’s threats to attack Iran’s oil refineries and energy infrastructure, following recent tensions between the two nations.
The situation escalated after Iran launched around 180 ballistic missiles on Tuesday, claiming to have targeted strategic centers in Israel. This was in retaliation for Israel’s assassination of key figures, including Hamas Politburo Chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, and senior IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan. Iran also condemned Israel’s intensified offensives against Palestinians and Lebanese forces, backed by US support.
