Soybean Procurement Festival on MSP to be Celebrated with Gauvardhan Puja : CM Dr. YAdav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the government has made several key decisions in favor of farmers. The soybean procurement festival at the support price will be celebrated statewide alongside Govardhan Puja. Also, information about the government’s farmer-friendly decisions and beneficial schemes will be shared in the presence of public representatives and farmers. Today, Dr. Yadav held discussions with Bharatiya Kisan Sangh officials at Samatva Bhawan in Chief Minister’s residence, emphasizing the state government’s strong commitment towards farmer welfare. He assured that farmer-friendly policies will continue with regular interaction with farmers. During the meeting, it was also highlighted that as part of the Government of India’s computerization initiative for Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies (PACS), 4536 PACS in the state have been computerized.

Present at the meeting were Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare Minister Shri Aidal Singh Kanshana, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary and Agriculture Production Commissioner Shri M.Suleman, Additional Chief Secretary for New and Renewable Energy Shri Manu Shrivastava, Additional Chief Secretary for Forests Shri Ashok Barnwal, Principal Secretaries to the Chief Minister Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla and Shri Raghavendra Kumar Singh, Agriculture Secretary Shri M. Selvendran, Revenue Secretary Shri Vivek Porwal, Commissioner and Secretary of Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade, along with other senior officers.

In the meeting, the State President of Bhartiya Kisan Sangh, Shri Kamal Singh Anjana, General Secretary Shri Chandrakant Gaur, along with Shri Raghavendra Ji, Shri Rajendra Paliwal, Shri Pramod Chaudhary, Shri R.C. Patel, Shri Bhavani Shankar Sharma, Shri Namo Narayan Dixit, Shri Shivnandan Raghuvanshi, and others were present.

Sampada Portal 2.0 will provide e-registry facility to farmers

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government will take necessary actions based on various suggestions from the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh. Today, the government launched the Sampada 2.0 portal and mobile app, developed using the new e-registry system under the Digital India Mission initiated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This innovation is expected to benefit a large number of farmers. Dr. Yadav also shared that he discussed the features of Sampada 2.0 with Shri Chandrawat, a resident of Hong Kong, and an elderly couple from Delhi, noting that all sections are recognizing it as a milestone in digital transformation. The Sampada 2.0 online document registration, built on new technology, represents a groundbreaking step. Officials from the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh extended their congratulations to Dr. Yadav for this initiative, stating that providing this service to citizens at home through the portal and app, along with the significant decision to establish GIS labs in all districts, will help Madhya Pradesh gain a distinctive identity.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that efforts are underway to simplify additional revenue-related tasks for farmers. It was noted in the meeting that 3.96 lakh applicants have benefited from the resolution of cases related to death transfers and other issues. Dr. Yadav mentioned that, rather than simply compensating farmers for using their land in various projects, the proposal to make them partners in these projects will also be explored. Additionally, the use of drone surveys will be expanded to address various complaints related to land settlement processes. A system will also be developed to preserve traditional pathways within fields.

Farmers should adopt solar plants

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that alongside thermal power, the state is increasingly emphasizing solar energy. Madhya Pradesh is making steady progress in the field of new and renewable energy and farmers who adopt solar energy will receive full encouragement. Solar power plants are now being utilized in agriculture, highlighting solar energy as a key solution. Industrial organizations are also being encouraged to incorporate solar pumps in agriculture and to generate their own electricity within the industrial sector. During the meeting, it was shared that the Central Government has agreed to support the establishment of numerous solar power plants under the PM Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana. This scheme is expected to play a crucial role in making farmers self-reliant through the use of solar energy.

Farmers must Enhance Efforts in Animal Husbandry and Milk Production Alongside Agriculture

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that animal husbandry, alongside agriculture, serves as a valuable means to boost farmers’ income. An agreement has been signed with the National Dairy Development Board to enhance milk production within the state. To further encourage farmers and livestock breeders, a plan to provide bonuses is underway with a decision expected soon. Additionally, the Madhya Pradesh Prakritik Krishi Vikas Yojana includes provisions for incentives to support the rearing of indigenous cows and high-quality indigenous bulls.

Farmers Encouraged to Take Initiative in Establishing Food Processing Units

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh officials present at the meeting for establishing around 80 Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs). He encouraged farmers to take initiative in setting-up food processing units. The state government has also approved an additional assistance of Rs 3,900 per hectare under the Rani Durgavati Shri Anna Protsahan Yojana for Kodo-Kutki production. Dr. Yadav emphasized that, alongside boosting coarse grain production, establishing units to produce various value-added products will increase farmers’ income. The benefits of increased yields in crops like peas and others can be fully realized when food processing plants are set up. He urged Kisan Sangh officials to guide and support farmers in this endeavor.

Topics Discussed in the meeting

In the discussion between Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh office bearers, and senior officials, several key topics were addressed. These included land acquisition, partition, mutation, correction of entries, conducting crop-cutting experiments at the regional level, increasing the number of machines for demarcation tasks, defining the responsibilities of RIs and Patwaris regarding acceptance of relinquishment on a Rs.100 stamp by the Registrar, the role of cooperative institutions, fertilizer distribution, controlling the sale of substandard milk, arrangement of weighing scales, creating a separate category for women porters, installing large electronic weighing scales in major agricultural markets across the state, and the role and collaboration of the Water Resources Department in supporting agricultural inputs and production.
